Android Enterprise is a Google-led initiative to enable the use of Android devices and apps in the workplace. It offers advanced configurations and management features for your Android devices, while keeping all of your professional data in a secure company container.
Using Android Enterprise, WizyEMM unifies Android management by removing device manufacturer differences and offers the same management features for all Android devices.
WizyEMM is an agentless EMM. We are built on top of Google’s native device agent, which is pre-installed in all Android Enterprise certified devices. We don’t need to install a Wizy agent to manage your devices.

Technical questions
There are 3 main steps in getting started with WizyEMM:
- Manage your applications
- Create your profile
- Enroll your devices
For more information about the first steps to follow, check out our QUICK START guide.
Employee-owned devices (BYOD)
The employee's organization has full management control over a device's work profile, but has no visibility or access to a device's personal profile. This distinct separation gives enterprises control over corporate data and security without compromising employee privacy.
Company-owned devices for knowledge workers
Fully managed deployments are for company-owned devices that are used exclusively for work purposes. Organizations can enforce the full range of management policies on the entire device.
Company-owned devices for dedicated use
Dedicated devices are a subset of company-owned devices that serve a specific purpose. Android comes with a broad set of management features that allow organizations to configure devices for everything from employee-facing factory and industrial environments, to customer-facing signage and kiosk purposes.
WizyEMM proposes 4 enrollment methods:
- Zero Touch
- QR Code
- NFC
- EMM Token
Selecting the best enrollment method depends on your use case.
For more information about the best enrollment method, check out our Enrollment matrix.
The Device Owner mode enrollment by QR Code works on any Android 7+ GMS devices.
You have the choice of two QR Codes to use to enroll your device:
- A profile-specific QR code, which is found in the Enrollment tab of your profile. This QR has a validity of 90 days. To create a new one, simply save the profile again.
- A global QR code, which is linked to device registration. This QR code is unlimited in time. This code is found under Enrollment > Global QR Code
All the screenshots are provided in order to guide you step by step on the Using a QR Code guide.
Once you have contacted your Android zero-touch reseller, he will create your zero-touch customer account. Your reseller will then register your devices to your zero-touch account, by uploading the IMEIs or Serial Numbers of your devices in his reseller portal. You will then have to choose an EMM configuration to go with these devices. Once the EMM configuration saved, your devices will automatically enroll in the chosen configuration upon factory reset. Follow the Using zero-touch enrollment guide
There are two different ways to enroll a work profile on an Android BYOD device:
- The user can download the Android Device Policy app on the device, open it and scan the QR code provided by the WizyEMM admin
- The user can navigate on the device to Settings > Google > Set up work profile and follow the steps
Follow the steps on our Work Profile enrollment guide.
The solution depends on whether the device is enrolled in a fully-managed mode, or in a BYOD setup.
1. Device Owner mode
Android makes factory-reset compulsory to enroll a fully-managed device to a EMM.
2. Work Profile mode for BYOD
Existing work profiles can be uninstalled, either by the previous EMM admin or by the user of the device.
